As much as I want this week’s game of the week to be focused at the top – an undefeated expert manager in me vs last year’s winner Zeke – Zeke was featured in game of the week last week.

So instead we drop to the bottom of the league. This week’s game of the week is Kevo vs Kuby.

I feel bad for Kuby. His Standpoor Industries team is just banged up. He’s forced into starting post-recovery Joe Burrow because superman Jordan Love is likely out this week. His RBs are beat up as CMC is questionable and didn’t play week 1, and Josh Jacobs is also questionable. He’s also stuck with a questionable Jake Ferguson as his best TE option. I think he had a solid, if not outstanding draft, but he’s so far the clear loser in terms of injuries here to start the year.

On the other hand, Kevo’s team is…close to being bad. He’s got strong starting RBs with Derrick Henry, Jonathan Taylor and Alvin Kamara. But his WRs are waaaaaaaaay under par, with his top spot being taken by Mike Evans and his WR2 at Terry McLaurin. With Odunze out this week, he’ll need to start Gabe Davis or Sutton at his WR3.

This is a tough prediction this week. On one hand, IF Kuby’s RBs can play close or at 100%, I think he wins. On the other hand, IF Kevo starts a WR in place of Odunze AND Kuby’s RBs aren’t close to 100%, I think Kevo walks away with this one.

Okay I’m back after two hours of research. Weird stat here – in weeks where the Jags win, Kevo scores 31% more points on average than week where the Jags lose. The Jags play a demoralized Browns team this week. I’m predicting a Kevo victory in week 2.
