The last time I took a math class was my Sophomore year in High School. I finished the year and said, “I’m done.” It was the perfect time to stop learning math, because I’ve literally never used any of the math they taught beyond the courses I took.
I can empirically say last year was bullshit by using math.
Here is a table outlining how many times I’ve finished at each position at the end of our 10-person league.
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th | 8th | 9th | 10th* |
| 3 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 0 | 4 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
As you can see, I am very overweighted on the top end of the finishings.
Mean: 4.65. So I’m better than average, especially considering last year was BS.
Median: 4th. Again, better than average.
Mode: 6th. It’s worth mentioning that in our league, top 6 go to the playoffs (with 1st and 2nd in standings getting a first round bye), so having a handful of 6th place finishes is actually a good thing.
41% of seasons I walk away with hardware. I make the playoffs in 76% of seasons. What else needs to be said.
*This year was bullshit.
